The solution is for America to re-evaluate their foreign policy before they take action against an innocent country that just so happens to have an unwelcome regime who invited a major terrorist to reside.

What I find funny-- If the Taliban IS defeated, Afganistan will most likely fall right back into internal war, when numerous warlords ran amok, killing each other. With the bombing campaign, we are ruining public opinion for the man who holds the only chance of a democratic rule. But an even better and more likely result, America and its allies will take the place of the Soviets in the eighties.

So 1.) re-evaluate the dependence upon Middle Eastern Oil 2.) withdraw American troops who shouldn't have been there in the first place 3.) Stop this blind backing of Israel. Every dollar we give them is a direct insult to Palestine.
All these will provide a start...

As you said, Chance, these people won't sit down at a table-- so we must give them atleast a portion of what they want. All this bullshit about "We can't let the terrorist win". Well, we must satisfy them. because we are just as much in the wrong as they are, and have been for quite some time.

I think stop_thief has made some valid points.
the US foreign policy is a joke,I mean they gave Anthrax to Saddam Hussein in the 80's,and now they're giving it back .(nice of them)
I also think that this conflict is not about justice its about revenge.

could argue that revenge is a kind of justice

and to be honest whats wrong with revenge ? they flew two jumbo jets into the WTC plus the pentagon and then the pittsburgh crash. (anyone else remember hearing on that day a 5th plane which seemed to have vanished ? what happened to that ?)

also your refering to america doing all this before hand etc etc , well lets blame the romans as well for splitting up the middle east as it is as well.

though spookey conspiracy thought, they could keep osama bin laden alive through video tapes, ie he could of pre recorded sh*t loads of interview tapes even if he does get killed they keep stump and just keeping sending out the tapes editing them as need be, after all no one has seen the guy in ages so whoes to say hes not dead already ?

the thing is I'm British so why are we standing shoulder to shoulder with a nation that funded and supported the IRA, did the US send troops to Northern Ireland after Dumblane or The Brighton bombing etc.

also revenge is about vanity,why should we sacrifice men women and murder innocent Afgani's for the sake of someones vanity?

as for the 5th aircraft who knows, during the confusion of the initial events maybe they double counted an aircraft or shot one down by accident(lets face it the US have a history of freindly fire misadventures)?

Civilains will die, civilains have died. How many more will die when these ist legions srtike next? I doubt you'll be so doubious if London gets hit.
People are going to die in a war, but we didn't start this, it was brought upon us.
